Wavy/Curly hair mamas. What do you put in your hair?
I'm frickin' tired of blowing my hair out everyday. But if I don't do it, it lays flat to my head and frizzes like nothing you've ever seen. My hair is really short. Pixie short. I just want something to put on it that doesn't make it hard as a brick and keeps it from frizzing.
Something like this would be nice.
Any suggestions?

Aubrey rosemary hair oil. I have thick dry permed short hair (I like a challange) and this makes it soft, shiny and everyone thinks I have naturally curly hair. Without it I would be wearin' a scarf. It smells divine too!

When my hair was that short, I used leave-in conditioner, which made it soft and not frizzy. Or the Aussie Two-Faced Anti-Frizz and Leave-In Conditioner. Also, some silicone based stuff like John Frieda's serum work along those lines.

My friend who is a stylist in Portland gave me a bottle of Davines number one finest oil non oil for wizards. It comes from italy and I'm sure the actual name just got skewed in translation. I use it alot in Rhythm's hair and mine, We both have curls that can get pretty frizzy and weird looking. It is true to the word, oil, but not oily, certainly for wizards. Slightly separates curles and gets rid of any frizzies without making any crunchy after effects. All in all quite nice. www.davines.com
Although I've had good results with V05 curling mousse too.
Aveda: 'brilliant' styling creme. it's a white cream. I swear it changes the texture of my hair from frizz puff to silky smooth weighty hair, with no stiffness at all.

I have lots of hair, but it's very fine, soft, and curly. So not sure my tips would work for you, KWIM?
Go into an Aveda salon and ask them. Their stuff is awesome, they usually know what they're doing, it SMELLS great.

away. Now I just have wavy hair. Either way, I keep using the same thing.
I wash my hair with Dr. Bronners and then use an Aubrey conditioner that is really thick/rich and moisturizes it really well. Then I use the Sea Buckthorn Leave-In Conditioner & Curl Activator followed by their B-5 Design Gel. When I was younger, I used to love KMS Curl Up, which they don't even make anymore...(they've got something similar), but I have just become too paranoid over time about the shitload of chemicals in things, not to mention that I have sensitive skin and am prone to psorasis and I have to be really careful. Aubrey's products are awesome.

and the whole line is amazing - and very close to all natural. i love the AnGell especially but they also have shampoos specifically for curly hair. my stylist swears by it and she is right! "Trust those who seek the truth. Doubt those who find it."
