I've tried to reach her several times since the original blog to no avail.
I sent her a message and am waiting for a reply. I feel really nervous. Our worlds are so far away and so different. Her page is loaded with pictures from her partying. It looks like a freakin' G*RLS*/*GO$NE**WI L D advertisement. Not really sure what to say.
**Update**
She replied to my message. And asked me to call her. I did and we talked for over an hour. We both cried.
She said that she had been clean for over 2 years, but she did have a VERY rough time. She got hooked on meth and lost her kids, her house, and her family turned her out and in. She got arrested for trespassing and her own mother called DHR to take the kids away.
But she's got them back and has a job and is clean.
Well, that's what she says anyway.

I'm sure it has to be really hard but i commend you for trying. Hopefully she'll return the message and the 2 of you can catch up. Take care of yourself. Keep us updated also.
I can't help but notice in your other post you call her your best friend, in present tense.
I commend you for reaching out to her. The worst that can happen is you will get hurt. But it sounds like you're in a place you could stand to be hurt, and she may be in the Abyss. I hope against hope that it works out. Good luck and please keep us updated.

I think this is so cool of you. i honestly think that for people who get in a bad place and can not get out that there is a trigger that one day opens their eyes and makes them want to get better. you never know, you may say or do just the thing that could trigger her and help in tremendous ways. just remember to not take it personally if things go badly. you are doing what you can and she is really not herself. keep us updated mama.

Be careful. I have an ex-girlfriend like this. And she loves me so much and I love her so much, but she has lost all three of her children, and then gotten them back, and then taken away again. It's hard to keep your distance when you love someone, and their kids, so much...but there is a way to have her in your life, you know? With mine, I just have to keep remembering that I cannot disclose what is happening in my life right now (there is a tendency for people like this to project their own problems onto yours), and I have to make sure to constantly stay in the present situation, not think too much about the past, or fantasize about the future and how it may be "better".

I was just thinking about your situation tonight and wondering what i would do in the same. So glad she is getting better and i hope you are able to have the friendship you used to have(even if it's changed).
