I want to get my nose pierced
I went to do it a few months ago, but they advised against it since I was still BFing. I plan on doing some weaning over the next month and am getting the itch to get it done again.
Who has theirs done? Any words of wisdom?

It hurt like hell. Really really bad.
But I love it.

It didnt hurt much because I did it and I am not a shove it through quick kinda gal, more of a visualizing the flesh moving away. I didn't swell but I had problems with infections. I am sensitive to metals (even gold) and once I switched to a monofilament retainer it was great. They make clear acrylic nose screws with jewels that I would recommend for the many moons it takes for the nose to heal. I have too thick of a nose for a nose bone so I would have to tweak the curve on the metal ones I had and they never quite fit right.
Not sure about the breastfeeding issue other then you can never be 100 percent sure you are not going to contract something from a needle someone is handling (that is why I did my own...oh and it is much cheaper too).
Take tylenol for the swelling and pain, keep it clean by rinsing with salt water, don't touch it unless you have just washed your hands, keep it away from fabric as having it ripped out when you aren't expecting it sucks ass. Tea tree oils helps disinfect it.
but lip, several years ago. sharp pain, and then dull pain - like having been punched in the mouth. as i recall, it was a few months before it was completely healed, and that was annoying, but it's been great ever since. as i understand it, noses heal more quickly, though.
