For those not in the know, this mama has been celibate? not gettin' none? for nearly two years--not even necking(not counting the drunken "I just love you and your kids and your band" kiss from my FTM neighbor). I'm glad, by the way, because I feel pretty friggin' good about myself these days, and I think I had to get to this point without a dude hanging around my neck.
Anyway, this was the third swing dancing class w/ the Dancing Civil Engineer. I, for one, am feeling somewhat less lost. It's starting to make sense, not just in terms of what my feet are doing, but in terms of body angles and stuff. I have danced other dance forms before, but it's been a long time. (i.e. the horizontal tango, like I said, about 2 years ago, LOL)
Afterward, we had dinner at a pizza place near my house, then a drink at a bar across the street. The bar was AWFUL (OMG! the wallpaper in the bathroom was "greek" people in various sexual poses. No guys going down on girls, WTF?), but, it goes to show you that it doesn't matter so much where you are or what you're doing, as who you're with. We did try to dance to "Should I Stay or Should I Go?", until the hardcore break, then we just giggled while the other drunks looked at us like we were idiots.
Back to my street, talking, then...ahhh....making out in the car. To old Ministry and Gene Loves Jezebel. I felt like a teenager, and also incredibly ancient at the same time.
