no tumor, no cyst

Oh, if only Bob Marley could have written such fabulous lyrics!

I remember--the cold speculum
And the oven mitts on the stirrups
And the feelin--of the sonogram
Of course, I mean the internal one

Apparently I have--a healthy endometrial lining
And normal sized follicles
There are not any--unusual formations
Although the speculum pinched a little bit, so

No tumor, no cyst (no, no cancer!)
No tumor, no cyst

Leaving the rest to your imagination.

Anyway, everything looks great. No dermoids, no fibroids. Had a blood draw to see how my hormone levels are doing.

So, the twingey pain? The NP said that I may be feeling ovulation as I never have before. I guess it's common in perimenopausal chickas. Maybe I'm just stressed and holding it in my abdoman, in addition to the tight shoulders.

woo hoo!

i have felt ovulations like that for most of my menstruating life. i started to doubt it when you posted your twingey pain, thinking maybe that's not normal after all.

i'm glad you got good news.

I've had those pains and even went in for ultrasound.

Same thing! Funny though, after I got an "all clear" ultrasound...the pain went away?

WEIRD I TELL YA!

Glad all checked out fine and good for you going in and checking things out even though it did turn out to be nothing. Good luck on the bloodwork.

great news! :)

I often hold my stress in my abdoman, and it can seriously hurt sometimes.

Mittelschmerz

Feeling your ovulation is called "mittelschmerz," or "middle pain" in German. I just like that there's a word for it, since I feel it frequently, and always have. Not as sharply as you have, obviously. So, now you know you are healthy AND you know a new word in German!
