joining in on the grats/thankful list
1. SO's parents bought me a kick-ass espresso machine for xmas. one that i've been pining for but would never ever ever be able to afford. he let me open it early so i can start saving money immediately(by not going to starbucks).
2. SO. combined families are hard, and we have some rough patches, but we're doing it.
3. hipmamas. the advice on combined families is amazing(thank you especially, selahsmom). it helps me step away from the situation and get to the source of the problem.
4. taking my kids to my hometown in utah after xmas.
4a. it will be their first time seeing snow and doing all snow related activities
4b. their first time meeting all of their cousins and my two older sisters
4c. my brothers are all driving up there as well for my older sis's wedding
4d. SO and stepdaughter are coming
5. last minute work. got a call this morning to be on a photoshoot later today, and was able to twice my rate because it is so last minute
6. my very eclectic family. all of our religious/political/social views vary sooooo much- and we still don't hate each other

i lived in american fork for about 5 years as a young kid. sooooo beautiful! i could never live there, but damn...really beautiful. i'm jealous you'll have snow for the holidays! enjoy it for me!

believe it or not, it was right next to a town called spanish fork. utah has some interesting names for it's towns.

its an hour south of moab. gorgeous, but i could never live there(the people, the isolation of a really tiny town, and it was an uranium mining town, thus the huge rate of cancer and kidney problems). i'm glad my mom got us out of there when i was still young!
