i have no gift ideas
i need help!!!!
this year i have no idea what to get SO. i was going to get him a book of a collection of paintings by his favorite artist, but the art museum is sold out.
i have a list of photography books he wants, but he gave the list to his mom and i'm sure shes bought him all of them (big spender).
his interests are old punk rock, cafe racer vintage motorcycles, beer, art/photography. i was thinking of getting him some new motorcycle gloves:
whaddya think? any ideas?
p.s. SO and i are doing fabulously, as are the kids and my relationship with stepdaughter. thank you all for your vibes through our rough patch. xo

you could go to cost plus world market, and (if i remember correctly. haven't been in a while) pick out a bunch of different beers to create your own 12 pack or whatever. i'm pretty sure they even have pre-mixed packs too.

for gloves anyway... Give them and insist he wears nothing else... ggrrrrar! And if ya didn't already know where my mind is today... my man is getting "the guide to getting it on" by Paul Joannides. It's bigger than a bible & is illustrated to boot. chock full of stuff. I got it because my friend reads it all the time and swears by it & the back cover says stuff like " the only sex manual you'll ever need~rolling stone" and " blows all other sex books out of the water~ babes in Toyland". Who knows maybe he'll become a reader.
What about a brew your own beer kit?
What kind of photography does he do? You could get his a fancy strap for him camera or some nice photo albums or film (if he uses it)... a picture frame collage or a new camera bag.
You could also find a cool motorcycle book if he's really into the books. Do an online search.

i second brew brewing. i bought dh a kit for christmas 2 years ago and he really has loved making his own creations. and i have fun drinking them! (most of the time anyways...the early batches were.....interesting....)

My DH builds motorcycles for a living. He *loves* vintage Italian bikes. Here is a site for some cool lithiographs from Ducati. Some cheaper than others.

i've been slammed with work, but i did get hooked up with someone at st. joes in phoenix who is going to be calling me to let me know the best program to choose, and how to get the hospital to pay for my books and tuition.
i think i'll get beer and the gloves. he loves beer, and those gloves would look really good with his helmet and bike.
