This Morning
This morning
I wondered
if I would spend
the rest of my life
searching for my keys.
Motherhood.
"But is it my manner that keeps her from hearing, or the threat of a message that her life may change?"
-Audre Lorde
Cause I've lost 2 pairs so far. One of those has a bunch of school keys on it, which add up to nearly 200 bucks, so I'm just hoping they'll show up eventually. He likes to throw them down the vents, the side of the couch, the toilet, and obviously somewhere else that I haven't figured out yet.
"I am not dead yet! I can still call forth a piece of soul and set it down in color, fixed forever." Keri Hulme
"Fundamentally the markswoman aims at herself" DT Suzuki
I lost mine Memorial day, and just found them last week! They were in a rarely used pocket of a retired diaper bag sitting around for when I got around to cleaning it out. I, too, had several keys to important businesses that I wasn't letting on to because they were either somewhere at home, or a remote private land where I'd need a metal detector to find them. (I hoped) I lose them ALL the time to, and not just thanks to DS. I've got some good stories, like running outside in pajamas to avoid a parking ticket having to use the spare which sets off the alarm. funny.
Good Luck! I hope you get yours back more quickly than I got mine!

I had forgotten about that part of my life when the baby was the one hiding them, causing me to think I was insane.
Check the clothes hamper and all the potted plants if you have any. Also the lower bins in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, I am so busy and exhausted, I am the one forgetting where I set them down. I am off to check out Chaotic Cooking.
