With busy mamas
And mamas with nappy hair
And protesting mamas
And mamas who sometimes
drink too much red wine
Or burn the food while
reading you Shel Silverstein
And writing mamas
And not so good at being a Vegetarian mamas
Mamas who lose their tempers
And sometimes dress bad
And have too many bumperstickers
And order you cool t-shirts that you don’t quite understand yet
From their weird friends they met on the internet
And book making mamas
And pawn shop mamas
Who sometimes buy into the American Dream and have
To sell your Gamecube
Cause they don’t believe in video games anyway
And mamas who want you to watch National Geographic
But aren’t sure if they should waste $50 on cable a month because TV poisons kids brain,
And mamas who were afraid to stand up to Grandma
Even though they know McDonald’s is wrong
Because they watched that one movie with that guy
Who ate it for a whole month
And the mamas who bought the house in the suburbs
Because they can’t afford to move to Seattle yet
But still need to make a really big deal about
Something at the PTA meeting,
And have a pretty OK car
But keep putting those embarrassing
Bumper stickers on it
And wear Chuck Taylors with their suits
And have tattoos that their friends
At work don’t know about….

I just moved last week and got internet installed Yesterday and I am so happy to be back to hip mama...Dial up sucked. Just never had time to post when I had to wait for the dial up and I finally won the fight...I AM NOW A CERTIFIED TEACHER! Got the news right before moving in the house. Now I can recover my life and stop spending all my time Fighting the Power. I won my appeals and was awarded both my teaching certificates (got the notification a few weeks ago)! Gotta take the kids to the karate practice...See ya
