Help us figure this out
There is this numbers game/psychic test thing that is freaking my 9yo and I out. It guesses our number every time. We have done it at least ten times, and every time it guesses correctly. We have tried tricking it in all different ways.
There has to be a trick. Help us, you geniuses.

it got my number wrong twice, so iam assuming it picks the number closest to your cursor (since you would instinctually use it to find your image). Both times it was wrong, the number it picked was the one by the cursor. i don't really know though, just a guess

it still hasnt gotten it, ive picked the same number 5 times now. weird. maybe im impenetrable. but now im hooked!
weird. I never got tricks like that. My dad could do a card trick where he'd guess the wrong card then make you tap it and it'd turn into your card. I saw him do it thousands of times but never figured it out

wierd...we're impressed. The only thing I see so far is the symbols repeat, so their odds are better, but beyond that I'm stumped...
and the thingy is not. i thought you were stsring at your ORIGINAL number, not subtracted one. its always right!!! it is a freaky genius robot with magical algorithms. thats how it works. magical algorithms....and such.

That's freaking me out! I've also tried "tricking" it and can't. I can't even figure out what Dreamie is talking about. I have to stop because it's getting so addictive but I'm definitely mailing this to a couple people. FrEaKy!!!!!

i get it! i get it! any combo of two numbers you chose then then add then subtract is a multiple of nine and all those numbers have the same symbole!
I heard a savant on Coast to Coast Live one night who was a number whiz and did a similar trick on the radio (people would call in and he'd guess their numbers). It freaked me RIGHT out until he explained it. Those pesky nines! I'll tell you what, if I had a teacher who would have shown me some of this cool shit when I was a kid, I would have liked math a LOT more.
Of course my little genius 11 year old figured it out before I did. Bah.
