last night my girl, who just turned 2 last month, went pee-pee in her potty for the first time!!!!! she has sat on her potty many many times but did nothing. this time something finally clicked and she figured it out.
also, the night before that, she said her ABC's all the way through, all by herself, and without any prompting to do so. she just started singing it while we were getting her ready for bed. then dh chimed in, and she "shushed" him! and kept on singing to the end. we couldn't believe it. we've heard her sing bits and pieces of it before, strings of letters in the right order, but from A to Z is a first. sure, some of the letters were a little smooshed up but she was definitely very close.

Go big girl!
I love the shushing. Amelia does the same thing (though she sticks her hand in the air and says 'stop it!') When she does her ABCs, she gets stuck in a loop and it is hilarious. She'll say "T-U-V, W-X, T-U-V, W-X, T-U-V" she'll keep going and going and going until one of us steps in with the "Y and Z"
God I love 2 year olds. Great news on the potty, too!
wow!
ABC's! I didn't know it happened that early. 2 is young for that right?!

is it?
i'm not sure...it definitely happened sooner than i expected, but i don't have much to compare her to, except you mama's kids. she seems really smart, but of course i would think that.
hahaha
dd yells "stop it" when dh whistles.
