why oh why
should a new vaccuum make me this happy? there is something so wrong with my life. i have been manically running about getting ceiling cobwebs and remarking on extra special suction action on the low pile for 3 hours. somebody please help me.

I am not the woman to help you. I was just about to post about the great deal I got on an almost new self cleaning oven I just bought from my neighbor.
I also heard myself say to mr sauce "baking really relaxes me. If I can get a cake in before I start dinner I feel great".

How the hell do "self-cleaning" ovens work anyway? Mine is supposed to be self-cleaning, but it's really dirty. I don't clean it because I figure someday it'll clean itself.
This made me giggle. I'm picturing your oven just getting up one night while you're sleeping and saying "Enough of this mess!" while reaching for the scrub brush.
Don't they have a latch on them so you cannot open it, and then a "clean" setting on the oven dial? I always thought they super heated themselves and burnt off all the crap. I've never had one, can you tell?

There is a setting (or should be one) on your oven. Turn it to self cleaning and turn on the oven. It takes like 4 hours and really heats your house up so we usually do it on chilly nights before bed.
So, you actually have to DO something! OK, now I feel like a big dork. I thought that somehow it was supposed to be cleaning itself automatically so I haven't done a thing to clean it, ever. It looks really bad.
Hehehe..... I only just found this out when I started house cleaning. I don't know where they expect people to learn this stuff at!
I worked in the building of my major in college. The professors always knew I was stressed when I brought in cookies or cakes (usually around finals). I think it was more about procrastination than stress relief for me, though.

well you know I have cleaning issues so cleanign always makes me happy. Serioulsy, a new vaccum would make me very happy. Sometimes when I am really realy down I get out the vaccum and get to sucking up all the corners and it cheers me right up. Ceiling cobwebs! Where do they come from? It's like I don't even notice them and bam! one day I look up and my house is like the friggin Adams Family house or something, LOL. Oooooh, have you got to the dust on top of the windowsills and door frames yet? That always gives me a special thrill.
