one of you people introduced him to me and i think it might kill me. i might die from too much feeling. we have been listening to him for the past four months or so and he's just so moving.

any more killers out there? i have a large list m'self. i'm not getting more reslilent to my emotions with age and music is the thing that can just flay me open. believe it or not i consider this a good thing.

That would of been me Yes,

That would of been me Smile Yes, his lyrics are very touching. Need somthing more uplifting? Try Architecture In Helsinki or Of Montreal.

I just noticed you wanted

I just noticed you wanted more feely music, not uplifting... Lets see. Try Band Of Horses or Iron & Wine (which I think you already know)

yep know them

and i do love them...but for some reason they don't hit the same chord as s. s. i think it's the naked expression of tiny truths said without a lot of drama. plus all the quirky instruments.

Totally. OH! Check out

Totally. OH! Check out Tindersticks. I forget the name of the album I have but it hits lots of chords with me. Very beautiful.

I was just recommended him too.

My brother just told me to check him out yesterday....(I'm so outdated!)
I like to listen to Cat Power, Ron Sexsmith, Iron and Wine, Leonard Cohen, Vic Chesnutt, Damien Jurado....I'll try to think of more, but I love, love, love Sexsmith, especially his earlier stuff.

i'm not a big fan of s.s.

because I think he sounds too much like badly drawn boy and I was really into badly drawn boy years ago. The same quirkiness, the same raw emotion, etc. you should check it out

i want to marry sufjan

i love him. and his music. even though its very christian based and i am not christian...it totally gets to me. like on "casimir pulaski day", when hes singing about his friend who dies, and then he says about his lord, "and he takes and he takes and he takes..." it kills me. i tear up every time.

That song is on my Hipmama

That song is on my Hipmama mix! I love that song. I have noticed that I have been listening to a lot of Christian based music lately. I like to hear people singing about things that makes them so moved, like having a religion. I am agnostic and have no interest in organized religion but I love spiritual people. I am so weird.
