My birds are crazy

Does anyone else have circadian rythmically challenged birds?

Every night at 11pm (usually the time I am ahhhh.... laying down, resting my weary head), they chirp like its sunrise! It goes on all night and I can hardly sleep. And they are LOUD and so damn cheery I want to both strangle and cuddle them at the same time.

THe worms are still sleeping! GO TO BED, BIRDS!

do you cover your pet birds' cages at night? i found that a dark colored towel wrapped loosely around the cage tells my bird when bed time is and even have him saying "goodnight stewart" back to me when he's being covered up.

I wish I could, but my

I wish I could, but my noisemakers aren't actually in the house - they are wild birds in the yard. I may go out tonight and start throwing towels around the trees though!

Let me know if you figure it

Let me know if you figure it out. My birds have been doing the same thing, with the added pleasure of a woodpecker who has recently discovered my tin chimney vent and enjoys pecking it at 5:30 am.

birds never bothered me

actually I'm trying to attract them to combat a wasp problem. I just sleep on my good ear (that makes me sound like an old lady Smile). Could you use the noise to help you sleep? I do that with animals insects & air conditioners sometimes I just focus on the sound and then it starts to relax me. Or maybe you could use a sound machine.
