Lullabies
Heard the following song on "Medium" the other night & LOVED it...her voice is beautiful & the lyrics are perfect & sweet. Inspired me to make a mixed cd of lullabies for the little one...any hipMama recomendations?
Artist: Dixie Chicks
Album: Taking The Long Way
Title: Lullaby
They didn't have you where I come from
Never knew the best was yet to come
Life began when I saw your face
And I hear your laugh like a serenade
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up
I slip in bed when you're asleep
To hold you close and feel your breath on me
Tomorrow there'll be so much to do
So tonight I'll drift in a dream with you
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough

I've always liked Billy Joel's "Goodnight My Angel".It's very sweet and sentimental.
"Ribbons Undone", by Tori Amos. It's for a girl though and I know you have a son. My son loves the soundtrack to Curious George by Jack Johnson. It has quite a few lullabies and is very sweet to listen to. There is even a song called "Lullabye". Check it out, I think you would like it.
I love the dixie chicks song--Godspeed(sweetdreams)...I sing to my little man(21/2) and it fits him to a T.. Also, Emmy Lou harris(goddess of bluegrass), Calling my children home--so beautiful and haunting, my dd always sings along...
Mummy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird...
that godspeed song is great. I downloaded it just now.
I like the Dixie Chicks more and more all the time.
