So that's me today.
I just realized that i have yet to post a blog, and wanted to say hi! I'm 21, and am a single mom to Leo, who turns 2 in June. I have finals today, and I ought to be studying. I did want to ask though, if anyone had any advice or encouraging words; I'm living with my parents b/c I can't afford a place on my part-time salary, and I feel like w/ school, work, and momming, I'm not doing a great job at any of the three. I know there are people who have made it out of their parent's house/into a more stable spot in life- right now it's feeling really tricky to stay on top, though. Overall: Feeling Happy, overwhelmed, and I would love to meet all you other hip mamas.

Hey welcome to Hipmama! I have two kids, 5 and 3 both boys. I just wanted to say that it sounds like you're doing a great job at all three things. That's a lot of stuff on your plate. Just being a mom PERIOD is a lot. I personally haven't been in your situation, but many, many of my friends have and they have successfully formed their own space and life for their families. I think the common thread that each of them share is that they are very determined individuals and that they are not afraid to just get out there and show the world what they've got. Have you checked out this site? www.insanityhouse.com It's great! Keep on truckin' mama! You'll get there.
