I've been back into reading mode lately and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I love getting lost in books. Last weekend I read Coop. It was a great read. I'm such an urban girl, not even very interested in growing herbs (they are so cheap at the farmers market!), but for some reason I love ready about folks making life on a farm.

Now I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife, which I also like. I'm also re-reading a number of pregnancy/birth books since I'm on month three of TTC #2!

So...What are you reading?

Hey mamasan! I wish I was reading something. I checked out Omnivore's Dilemma and didn't get a chance to really get into it.

Sending some baby dust for baby 2!

The Help

Just finished it- loved it! Wanting something else good for summer reading. Maybe I'll go w/ Time Traveler's Wife.

Yaya, you are preggers, congrats mamasan! Hope you are feeling a okay at this point. I loved reading prego books. Do you dig the funny ones? I loved Jenny McCarthy's the most just for a break from the Dr Sears/What to Expect type stuff. :)

Sending love,

Hmmmm haven't read any of these...I'll look them up when I'm next hungry for fresh words. At the moment I'm reading:

The Inheritance of Loss (Kiran Desai)
Lois the Witch (Katherine Gaskell)
How to Cook Everything (Mark Bittman)

I just finished Carpentaria (Alexis Wright) and Three Women (Marge Piercy)

Oh, and "I Love Mummy", "Bella the Bravery Fairy", and "There's Only One You"...on frequent rotation, but given she turns the pages back and forth faster than the story goes, I'm not sure it counts as reading in the way you mean it?

Hooray for winter here - so cold it pays to go to bed early and curl up with my daughter, and read. Or stay up late cooking hot food and surfing the net.
