so i'm finishing my sixth cigarette-free day. all of your suggestions and encouragement has been really helpful, and i am proud to say that i haven't even cheated once! today was actually the first day that i really really wanted to smoke, which makes sense because i'm not sick anymore, and i was doing a lot of house work, which is a big time trigger for me. i always used to reward myself for getting different tasks done by going outside for a smoke, which gave me an excuse to sit down for a minute, too.

hi, everybody! i've just joined hip mama, but have been reading and enjoying many of your posts for a while now. i just so appreciate all of the frank advice, great stories, and all around lady community you have here, and i wanted in! i don't have any kids of my own, yet, but my partner and i are planning to start trying this coming fall. i want to take advantage of the luxury that is planning ahead for motherhood, and along with a fair bit of reading, developing community with fellow mamas was something i really wanted to do.
