waiting

took me a while but - i'm waiting.

that's what this feeling is.
Several hundred (?) miles away my thesis is being discussed, the reports on it are being turned over, considered - one against the other. And a response is being formulated, to my new supervisor, to me.

And all the other plans, hopes, considerations, idle inspirations that I have are on hold, pending the decision - how much of a re-write is going to be required?

How much time will I need to find? How to hold space in the time that I have, which is also 'how to structure the days and weeks'?

Thanks mum.

My daughter has had a carer for almost a year - goes to his house 3 mornings a week. He's moving on to study Early Childhood Education and we are sad to lose him - C is so fond of him and he is wonderful with her. It's been awesome to follow her through his eyes a little, and watch her blossom in that relationship.

Delicious diss...

from Boganette at 'www.boganette.com' I am borrowing the expression 'flaming douchecanoe' and offering it here as a companion to 'asshat'...

enjoy.

For Madame Filth

possibly even more disappointing when juxtaposed with John Lennon....

I saw this and thought perhaps it wasn't dancing, perhaps it was trying to get the fricken sound out of it's skull?

I hear she's touring with Bieber. If I buy you tickets will you go? ;)

words of wisdom

do not try and substitute tapioca flour for general flour in a white sauce.

It's essential to brazilian cheese bread (Mmmmmmmmmmm brazilian cheese bread). It should come with a warning NOT to be used in anything remotely resembling a sauce.

*sigh*

what an abominable thing to do to perfectly respectable chicken thighs.
