For anyone on FB and not already on the hipmamas group there, hit me up and I'll "invite" you.
So, here's something interesting: I invited all the ol' gang to come back and blog here, and no-one wanted to (except the people who never stopped blogging here).
They said it was "too public" and too catty (that's my Reader's Digest version of what was being said.)
Lost 7 clients this year, gained like 10.
Lost 3 people who I thought were friends but who were, as it turns out, just impossible people.
Gained one boyfriend.
Kid moved out, but our relationship is better now.
Lost my hearing for a while, gained it back, along with a deep appreciation for sound and the relative lack of pain in my daily life.
Lost 35 pounds, gained 25 back. Oops!
Played some difficult orchestral music, played some intricate rock music.
Knitted a bunch of crap, including a Ferrari-themed hat for Blondy and 1 1/2 sox for me.
Blondy has a job interview on Wednesday. His first interview in MONTHS. This has been agonizing for both of us, as he has been working with me/for me, and it's been a financial strain for me, and an emotional strain for both of us. His unemployment is running out (yeh, you know, we work under the table) and I can't really afford to support him. I just don't have the client base to pay him the money he needs to survive without putting myself in the red.
Back on the no wheat no dairy no sugar thing. Last year, I felt like I had a sense of purpose around this intense diet/cleanse thing. Then, after about 9 months, I drifted off of it. And gained about 25 lbs, some of which was relationship weight, but not all. Now, because Dr. Heidi told me to, I'm back on it. And it's really, really tough. Today, Blondy got snacks at a gas station. He hopped in the truck and tossed a bag of "smart" popcorn (I forget the brand name) toward me. "Cheese flavor!" he said, very proud of himself.

I'm making some kind of a toile with Satanic looking goats. I guess you could use a picture of your kids, if you're not a total freak.
Months and months of quietness here at hipmama. Used to be many, many posters. I, like many hipmamas, find the evil empire of FB to be so much eye candy that I get stuck there for hours. And I come here and it's quiet.
